Hannah Perowne returns to the AST to perform Prokofiev Violin Concerto

The Academy of St Thomas begin their 51st season in St Peter Mancroft Church, Norwich on 2nd March at 7 pm with a performance of the soulful yet dramatic Violin Concerto No 2 by Prokofiev which will be performed by Norwich-born violinist Hannah Perowne.

Hannah performs regularly with numerous UK and European orchestras including the BBC Philharmonic, Royal Northern Sinfonia, Royal Philharmonic, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and the Britten Sinfonia. Last May as part of the Norfolk and Norwich Festival, Hannah was guest leading the Halle Orchestra in their return to St Andrew’s Hall. Having had  a long association with the AST as soloist and guest leader, the AST is delighted to welcome her back.

Conducted by London based Toby Purser, the programme begins with the Sinfonietta by Lennox Berkley and concludes with Beethoven’s Symphony No. 4.
